It’s not much, but it’s home” – Ron Weasley.

The Geeky Burrow” is a project born few years ago on a piece of scrap paper, from the simple idea of starting to talk about what catches the attention of the person behind all of this. This gap year before the start of a completely new adventure (moving to Westero–ehm, England) is giving me the opportunity to finally start the little blog. Inside this burrow  you’ll mainly find four big categories:

 1) “Pizza, Pasta, Pudding“, where I will talk about all the things you should do in order to move to England as a student, of everything that will happen to me in Manchester and other info and stories useful for all the people that feel a little British (Italians, this is for you!);
2) “Homemade Biologist“, from biology to microbiology, from chemistry to anatomy. In this space I will try to help you understand the basis of modern science (such as the cell, the bricks of life and so on) with a different twist from what you’re used to in school!
3) “The Science behind baking“, do you always wonder what’s happening to the bread dough during proving (when the dough rises)? What’s gluten? Why does the chocolate make that beautiful “crack!” when you break it? Here you will find answers to these and more other questions, along with delicious recipes to challenge your abilities with!
4) “What’s on my mind” a space where I will talk about whatever catches my attention, from what happend in a tv series to about always different matters!

Whom ?

blog1Paolo, only “” to friends (I refuse to share the others!). Creator of this blog. Born in Sardinia on July 1994, now living near Padova. Geek that gets interested in too many activities, bakes and talks about science even knowing that he’s not a scientist. Tv series, films and books addicted, without his weekly dose of drama, reading or cinema he wouldn’t be able to live. He will take the iron throne (maybe with a sonic screwdriver).
